Penny
The US Mint produces coins as instructed by Congress, so a law would have to be passed by Congress and signed by the President in order for pennies to be removed from circulation. [4] Several unsuccessful legislative efforts have sought to bring about the penny's extinction. Most recently, in 2017, Senators John McCain (R-AZ) and Mike Enzi (R-WY) sponsored ultimately failed legislation that would have suspended minting of the penny. [5]

Pennies should be kept. If we get rid of pennies, everything would be charged at a higher or lower price. They have been in use for HUNDREDS of years, it would be hard to get rid of all of them in our nation. How would we collect the the copper materials and what would we do with it? We may as well keep them since everyone is used to using them. They don’t cause any problems besides, getting lost easily. But what makes losing a penny easier than loosing a dime or a quarter? Pennies should not be disposed of in our economy. Side: Keep it!

A penny though often abandoned or given away is more than one may think. Lots of people can save pennies and it can add up same as any other form of currency. This also allows people to create perfect change. For many things, you’d have to change if you did away with the penny such as a different sales tax. Side: Keep it!

Pennies are a waste. Pennies legitimately cost more to produce than they are worth. The government is losing money every time a penny is made. A penny serves little purpose. Changing all costs to the nearest five cents would make paying for items and services so much simpler. Pennies are pointless. Side: It's a waste!
So, it isn't worth preserving our history? Pennies have been part of the American economy for hundreds of years. What are we going to get rid of next? A penny saved is a penny earned is a beautiful sentiment. Millennials no longer see a point in doing something that's a waste. You know what is a true waste? Leaving the America we know and love behind. Side: Keep it!
Today there isn't anything you can buy with a single penny and you can’t do much else with it either. Vending machines don’t accept them and neither do parking meters. Plus they are bad for the environment! And above all they cost the government money(our tax dollars). Side: It's a waste!
There isn't much you can buy with a dollar either. Let's get rid of dollar bills. Can you buy much with a quarter? You know what?! Let's get rid of all change because in and of itself you cannot use it alone. Everything will be single dollar amounts so math-challenged Americans don't have to think. Side: Keep it!
